(c) The group comprising specialised tissue for the conduction of water in the plant body is Pteridophyta. (True Or False).
(d) Pteridophyta is also called the amphibian of plants. (True OR False).

(a) Bryophyta.
(b) (i) They are called as amphibians of the plant kingdom.
(ii) They have no specialized vascular tissue.
(iii) The plant body is differentiated to form leaf like structures and stem.
(c) True.
(d) False. Bryophyta is called the amphibian of plants.

Question 2:

Read the following and answer any four questions below from (a) to (d):

A student enters the museum and observes the animal specimens. He looks at the one marked as whale and calls it a type of fish.

(a) Whale belongs to which class?
(b) Whale and fishes belong to same class ? (Yes or No)
(c) List any three distinguishing features to justify your statement.
(d) List out three common features in cat, rat, and bat.

(a) Whale belongs to class Mammalia.
(b) No. whale and fishes belong to two different classes. Whale Class Mammalia, Fish Class Pisces
(c) (i) Whale : It is a mammal because it is warm blooded animal, it has four-chambered heart, and it breathes through lungs.
(ii) Fish : They are cold-blooded animals with two chambered heart, and they breathe through gills.
(d) They have notochord at some stage of life. They are warm blooded and have four chambered heart.
