In the following questions, statement of Assertion (A) is followed by a statement of Reason (R). Choose the appropriate option as answer:
a. Both (A) and (R) are true and (R) is the correct explanation of (A).
b. Both (A) and (R) are true, but (R) is not the correct explanation of (A).
c. (A) is true, but (R) is false.
d. (A) is false, but (R) is true.

Q. 1. Assertion (A): Globalisation results in an erosion of state capacity, that is the ability of government to do what they do.
Reason (R): Globalisation also gives freedom to government to act in an arbitrary manner as far as the global issues are concerned.

Ans. Option (c) is correct.

Q. 2. Assertion (A): Economic globalisation involves many actors other than the international institutions.
Reason (R): What is often called economic globalisation usually involves greater economic flows among different countries of the world.

Ans. Option (b) is correct.
