Passage 1:

In a geometry lesson, a student was working with a pair of intersecting lines. The student found that one of the angles formed was 60°. The teacher explained that at the intersection, there are pairs of equal angles and supplementary angles (angles that add up to 180°).

Ans. Option (b) is correct.
Explanation: As it is vertically opposite angle.

Ans. Option (d) is correct.
Explanation: Angles on a straight line add up to 180°. If one angle is 60°, the adjacent angle is 180° – 60° = 120°.

Q. 3. The teacher mentioned that angles that add up to 180° are called supplementary. If one angle is 60°, what is the measure of its supplementary angle?

Ans. Option (d) is correct.
