The students were asked to draw a closed figure with few points inside the figure, few points outside the figure and few on the boundary of the figure. One of the child drew a figure like this:

(d) None of the above.

Ans. Option (a) is correct.
Explanation: Points C, Z and M lie in the interior of the figure.

(ii) Which points lie in the exterior of the figure?
(a) Q, R, O, S
(b) C, Z, M
(c) P, K
(d) All of these

Ans. Option (a) is correct.

Explanation: Points Q, R, O, S lie outside the given figure.

(iii) What kind of figure is it ?
(a) Point
(b) Simple closed figure
(c) Circle
(d) None

Ans. Option (b) is correct.
Explanation: A closed figure that does not intersect itself is called a simple closed figure.

(iv) Tick the open figures from the following


Sol. Figures (c) and (d) are open.
Explanation: Figure that begin at one point and end at other point is open figure.

(v) Write any two letters of the English alphabet which are closed figures.
