In the following questions a statement of assertion followed by a statement of reason is given. Choose the correct answer out of the following choices.
(a) Both the Assertion and the Reason are correct and the Reason is the correct explanation of the Assertion.
(b) Both the Assertion and the Reason are correct but the Reason is not the correct explanation of the Assertion.
(c) The Assertion is incorrect but the Reason is correct.
(d) The Assertion is correct but the Reason is incorrect.

Q1. Assertion (A): Lok Sabha is known as the temporary house of the Parliament.
Reason (R): Money bill can only be introduced in Lok Sabha.

Ans. (b) Both the Assertion and the Reason are correct but the Reason is not the correct explanation of the Assertion.

Q2. Assertion (A): The Council of Ministers are responsible to the Rajya Sabha.
Reason (R): Two-third of its members retire after every 2 years.

Ans. (c) The Assertion is incorrect but the Reason is correct.

Q3. Assertion (A): An ordinary bill can be either be introduced in Lok Sabha or Rajya Sabha.
Reason (R): No major bill is introduced in the Parliament without the approval of Cabinet Minister.

Ans. (b) Both the Assertion and the Reason are correct but the Reason is not the correct explanation of the Assertion.

Q4. Assertion (A): Rajya Sabha is a permanent house and it can never be dissolved.
Reason (R): Every two years, one-third of its members complete their term and elections are held for those one third seats only.

Ans. (a) Both the Assertion and the Reason are correct and the Reason is the correct explanation of the Assertion.
